A Mural By the Sea
Directed by: Tony Hall
Documentary | Trinidad and Tobago | English | 8 Min
Dawad Philip reads poems from his recent book by the same name, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of his beloved ‘hometown’ San Fernando. In Sando Proper, he pays a moving homage dedicated to his lifelong, childhood friend, Dr. Leroy ‘Black Stalin’ Calliste’. This short video sets out to allow Dawad, the poet and masman, to settle comfortably into the source of his inspiration, the city of San Fernando, through his poems.
