Explore the Festival Programme

The 2026 Screen Share programme reveals a region in conversation with itself—through memory and myth, resistance and resilience, grief and joy. Across documentaries, narrative films, experimental works and animated stories, we encounter artists, activists, elders, dreamers and ordinary people confronting inherited wounds and tapping into inherited wisdom. The films at Screen Share explore the enduring legacies of colonialism, migration, environmental injustice and displacement, while celebrating the cultural traditions, creative practices and collective struggles that continue to sustain Caribbean life.

The mission of the CaribbeanTales International Film Festival is to celebrate the talents of both established and emerging filmmakers of Caribbean and African heritage.

CTFF fosters intercultural understanding and citizen participation by amplifying under-represented voices and showcasing the rich cultural diversity of the global diaspora.

For the 21st edition of the festival, CTFF and the Caribbean Film Festival (CFF) have joined forces for a landmark collaboration, presenting a special joint edition in Toronto titled Screen Share: Caribbean Stories, Collective Power.

From September 8–13, 2026, Screen Share will create a dynamic space for connection, creativity and industry exchange, linking Caribbean talent with global opportunities and audiences. From September 18 – October 20, a selection of films will be available for our virtual edition of Screen Share.
