Thanks to everyone who made it to the 17th annual CaribbeanTales International Film Festival Media Launch. It was a delight to share the preview of this year’s programme with the theme of Ah-Wakening along with an uplifting chat with Honourable Dr. Jean Augustine and CityNew’s Tammie Sutherland. Additional special guests speakers were CaribbeanTales Media Group (CTMG) CEO and CTFF founder Frances-Anne Solomon, CTMG Board Member Denise Herrera Jackson, CBC Executive Director of Equity and Inclusion and CTFF Incubator Mentor, Nick Davis, and Festival Director, Diana Webley.
The CaribbeanTales International Film Festival returns in September 2022 for its 17th year – exploring mental health, celebration of freedom & independence, and an examination of the Caribbean spirit through film. The Festival runs from September 7th to September 23rd at the Carlton Cinema, 20 Carlton Street, Toronto with special screening at Harbourfront Centre Theatre, a Sweet T&T 60th Anniversary co-presented by Film TT, and the popular Big Pitch. The line-up this year will also be available online after the festival ends on September 23rd through the VOD platform CaribbeanTales -TV.
