Synopsis:
Olivia, a trainee professional, finds herself opposing the government that is seeking to criminalise her mother. ASUNDER offers an intricate story about family, politics and justice.

About the Director:

Janet Marrett is the founder of Mediathirsty Productions, an award-winning writer, director and producer of independent films, with a history of producing campaign, museum & heritage and marketing films. Janet is a BFI NETWORK x BAFTA CREW filmmaker particularly passionate about highlighting stories featuring diverse ethnicities; with inclusive talent both in front of and behind the lens. Her work has screened internationally in Singapore, Kuwait, Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Ghana, Ireland, Jamaica, St Vincent & the Grenadines, across the USA, across Canada, as well as throughout the UK. She is a huge fan of cinema veritй and is inspired by filmmakers like Steve McQueen, Asghar Farhadi, Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, Barry Jenkins, Nadine Labaki and Andrea Arnold amongst many others.
