Synopsis:
After working abroad for five years, filmmaker Ajahnis Charley returns home to Oshawa, Ontario, in the age of quarantine. In addition to reuniting with his family, he returns with a mission to share some deep personal truths. Surprising conversations ensue with his mother and three siblings creating, in this humorous and heart-wrenching story about our need to seek love and acceptance within our own families.

About the Director:

Ajahnis Charley is a Scarborough-born, Toronto-based writer and performer delivering stylish comedy works with the exuberance only a young debt-ridden gay could have. He wrote and directed the short doc I AM GAY, produced by the National Film Board of Canada. He writes for The Beaverton and the CBC Podcast Tony Ho and is an alum of Canadian Comedy Award-winning sketch troupe The Sketchersons. He has written and performed his own solo sketch show THOTS & PRAYERS and won the Producer’s Pick award at the 2020 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
