About the Director:

Born and raised in Martinique, Maharaki graduated from L’Ecole Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation in Paris and received her “Bachelor of Fine arts Motion Picture Directing” from the European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools based in London.
Maharaki has traveled the world with her short film VIVRE, selected at fifty film festivals and awarded 11 prizes in less than a year.
With her documentary feature “Jocelyne, mi tchè mwen”, 2017, she directed an intimate portrait of Jocelyne BEROARD, sole female member of the legendary French Caribbean band KASSAV’ that won numerous awards, internationally.
