ABOUT THE FILM
Bottom in The Road uses its controversial topic to explore a particular aspect of sexual attraction in Trinidad and Tobago. It uses this bachanaalian title to draw audiences into an entertaining discussion with serious aspects that work through from the man on the street, to ideas of traditional mas in Carnival, religion and how the historical objectification of the African woman’s body and its characteristics can be seen to have both its negative and positive ramifications.
Oyetayo Raymond Ojoade is a Trinidadian-Nigerian film director who has produced and directed four documentaries with cultural anthropologist Sharon Syriac
