ABOUT THE FILM

When an incident from the Mariner’s past arises, to haunt him in terms of racial identity, a young marine navigation student suffers intense anxiety during his final exams.

DIRECTOR

Thyrone Tommy is a narrative director, and cinematographer from the North Side. He has written, directed, and produced, 4 short films including: “Seed of Deadbeat”, “Liar, Cheater, Whore”, and “Avalanche”. His films have been supported with grants from Universal Canada, Kodak Motion Film, and the Ontario Arts Council, as well as playing at over a dozen international film festivals.

Tommy’s latest productions include “Adorn”, produced for The Mini Films, and his latest directorial piece, “Mariner” – Based on his time as a marine navigation student. He is a recent graduate of both ReelWorld Film Festival’s Emerging 20 Filmmaker program and Impact Lab.
