ABOUT THE FILM
Twelve-year-old Trench Town tomboy Likkle shows her urban survival skills as she careens around the ghetto, running, jumping, hiding from the dreadlocks in pursuit.
Likkle uses her wit and her phone. Not to take a selfie but as a periscope for surveillance. The mantra she keeps hearing says: “Brain will always beat brawn”.
Likkle proves her prowess by beating the dreadlocks, which it turns out, is her father String, in a game of ghetto hide and seek. String taught Likkle well. His voice recites the mantra in her head. “Your brain is your strongest muscle.”
When area don Satan kills String and Likkle witnesses the murder she must use every muscle to survive. This hide and seek is life and death. Likkle trusts her instincts and guile, uses the lessons String taught her, along with social media and real friends to defeat Satan, at least this time.
