The Toboggan’ is a short film about a young boy in search of happiness. Ten year-old Alva heads to a hill near his house intending to have some fun tobogganing but instead runs into a bully. While retreating home, a little girl befriends him and offers to let him use her sled the one he’s always dreamed of using. In the process of having fun, Alva finds hope and a friend.


Richard B. Pierre is a multiracial filmmaker who has directed over a dozen short films that have screened in dozens of film festivals worldwide. He received the Naish McHugh Award for Emerging Filmmakers at the 2011 Toronto Urban Film festival. In 2012. his first interactive short film FAR FROM THE HEART was nominated for a Golden Sheaf Award &amp he was named a ReelWorld Film Festival 2012 Emerging 20 Filmmaker.
